Son of the late John and Margaret Julian, of Drumbane, Birr, King's County. He is remembered on the Helles Memorial Turkey.
Thomas Michael Kettle

 Thomas Michael Kettle. Lieutenant 9th Battalion The Royal Dublin Fusiliers. Killed in action on the 9th of September 1916 aged 36. He was the son of Andrew J. and Margaret Kettle, of Newtown, St. Margaret's, Co. Dublin; husband of Mary S. Kettle (nee Sheehy), of 3, Belgrave Park, Rathmines, Dublin. Member of Parliament for East Tyrone, and the Professor of National Economics at University College, Dublin. Poet, journalist, essayist and idealist. A leading Irish Nationalist, he joined the Dublin Fusiliers when Belgium was attacked, to fight "not for England, but for small nations." One of the outstanding Irishmen of his generation, he wrote a number of war poems. Killed in action at the Battle of the Somme. Poems and Parodies, published 1916, and The Ways of War, published 1917. He is remembered on the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France.

Inventor of a quick-firing improvement to the Lewis Machine Gun. Appointed assistant surveyor to the Geological Survey of Ireland, by competitive examination, after enlistment in the 7th Bn. Royal Dublin Fusiliers. He is buried in the Noeux-les-Mines Communal Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France.

H. and Mary Greer, of Curragh Grange, The Curragh, Co. Kildare. Raised by his Grandmother Agnes Isabella Greer in Moy County Tyrone. He is buried in Canada Farm Cemetery, Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.

Francis St. Leger Greer, brother of the above, Lieutenant 2nd Battalion The Irish Guards. Died on the 1st if February 1917 aged 22. He was awarded the Military Cross. He is buried in Heilly Station Cemetery, Mericourt-l'Abbe, Somme, France.

Medal for Tirah Campaign (2 clasps "Tirah" 1897-82nd "Punjab Frontier" 1897-8); and Queen's South African Medal, with 3 clasps, (Brevet Major, twice Mentioned in Despatches). He is remembered on the Helles Memorial Turkey.

Harry Pemberton Dudley. Second Lieutenant 3rd Battalion The Leinster Regiment. Killed in action on the 3rd of September 1916 aged 36. He was the 3rd son of the late Henry N Dudley M.D. formerly of Kinnitty King’s County and afterwards Durrow Queen’s County. He was born in Kinnitty on the 8th of May 1880. Married to Mary Elizabeth nee Pemberton of 2 Burdett Avenue Sandycove the daughter of John Pemberton of Blackrock. Educated by private tuition, Lanly School and Dublin. He was living in Singapore and returned home at the out-break of war, he joined 7th (service) Battalion The Royal Dublin Fusiliers, went to the Dardanelles where he was severely wounded at Suvla Bay in August 1915. After recovery he was gazetted 2nd Lieutenant 3rd Leinster Regiment in November 1915. Went to France in July 1916 attached to the 2nd Royal Irish Regiment and was killed in action near Guillemot on the 3rd of September 1916.

Gazetted 2nd Lieutenant Royal Munster Fusiliers on the 4th of November 1914 promoted Lieutenant May 1915.Landed in France on the 17th of August 1915, served with an entrenching battalion for some weeks before being attached to the Munster Fusiliers on the 30th of September. He is buried in Dud Corner Cemetery, Loos, France.

Guy Walter Burrowes. Lieutenant 6th Battalion The Royal Munster Fusiliers. Killed in action in Gallipoli on the 16th of August 1915. Son of the late George Burrows Garriglea Sunday’s Well Cork. Born Cork 15th November 1886. Educated at Buckley’s Private Academy. Went to Rhodesia but returned at the out-break of the war. Gazetted Temporary Lieutenant 2nd September 1914 promoted Lieutenant 23 January 1915. Served with the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force at the Dardanelles and was KIA near Suvla Bay.

He was the son of Henry Magowan Harper and Annie Elizabeth.

Charles Henry Vigors brother of the above also fell, Captain 12th Battalion The Cheshire Regiment. Killed in action on the 18th of September 1918. Awarded the Military Cross and Croix de Guerre with palm (France). He was the Husband of Kate Mary Vgors, of 33, Church St., Lenton, Nottingham. Brother 2nd Lt. A.C. Vigors also died on service. He is remembered on the Doiran Memorial, Greece.

Educated at Strangeway's School, Dublin, Beaumont College, Eton, Bedford Grammar School and University College, Oxford. "Blue" (Boxing) Oxford V. Cambridge 3 years. John Broadwood Atkinson. Captain 5th Battalion The Royal Irish Rifles. Died in Number 19 General Hospital on the 24th of December 1915 from wounds received at the landing at Suvla Bay on the 6th of August 1915 aged 21. He was born at Summer Island, Loughgall, County Armagh on the 1st of October 1894. He was the 3rd son of the late Joseph Atkinson of Crowhill County Armagh who served as a Lieutenant with the 67th Regiment. He was educated at Mourne Grange County Down and Oundle School. Gazetted 2nd Lieutenant 3rd Reserve Battalion The Royal irish Rifles on the 15th of August 1914, promoted Lieutenant 5th Battalion R. I. Rif. 19th of November 1914 and Captain September 1915. he is buried in the Alexandria (Chatby) Military and War Memorial Cemetery Egypt.

Bell Alfred Ray Lancaster
Bell Alfred Ray Lancaster listed on the Commonwealth War Grave Commission website under the family name Lancaster-Bell and on the Irish census with the first name Ray Lancaster and on the Irish Memorial Record with the first names Alfred Roy Lancaster. Born in Ballinasloe Galway. Killed in Action on the 17th of March 1915 and is buried/commemorated in Vlamertinghe Military Cemetery He was the only son of Alfred and Annie Ray Bell, of Morehampton Road, Dublin. He held the rank of Lieutenant attached to the 2nd Battalion The Royal Dublin Fusiliers. He was 19 years old when he died.

Bell was educated at St. Georges College and Rosse College Dublin. He joined the army at the outbreak of the war and was gazetted 2nd Lieutenant to the 5th Battalion The Royal Dublin Fusiliers on the 15ht of August 1914 and attached to the 2nd Battalion The Royal Dublin Fusiliers. He reached the front lines on the 15th of May 1914 and was wounded by shrapnel in the lung at the second battle of Ypres on the 17th and died four hours later in the 12th Field Ambulance near Vlamertinghe (Vlamertynghe)
